Rita T. Keenan

The death of Rita Theresa Keenan of Johnville occurred on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Upper River Valley Hospital. Born December 2, 1931 in Johnville she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Mary (Sullivan) Rideout and wife of the late Jack Keenan.

Rita is survived by her 5 children, Brian Keenan (Marie), Daryall Keenan, Deborah Grant (Larry), Sandra Black (Andrew) and Ivan Keenan; 11 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Josephine Bulmer and Joyce Pickard (James) and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Jack; son, Leonard; daughter in law, Catherine; 3 sisters, Lillian, Bridgette and Ann.

Visitation will be held from St. John the Evangelist Church, Johnville on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the church on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the Johnville Cemetery. Donations made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Martin Kilfoil Fund would be appreciated. L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors are entrusted with the arrangements.
