Raymond Downey

Douglas “Raymond” Downey passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the River View Manor in Bath, NB. Raymond was born on September 7, 1941 in Woodstock, NB and was the son of the late Raymond and Kathleen (Muxworthy) Downey, predeceased by his wife Lulua Bell, his sons, Robert, Peter, Tony, Raymond and Lawrence, sister Geraldine and brother Fred.

Raymond is survived by 2 children, Doug (Rebecca) Downey, Amanda Murphy (Butch), 6 grandchildren , Bryson, Brayden, Mariah, Ajsha, John, Jamis; 2 great grandchildren, Octavia and Harper; his brother, James Downey (Monica) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the River View Manor and all the staff that provided such wonderful care of Raymond during his time there.

A visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Thursday December 7, 2023 from 6-8 pm with the funeral to take place on Friday, December 8 at 2pm. Interment to take place at Summerfield Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish donations to the Summerfield Cemetery would be appreciated.
