Michael "Mike" Denny

1973-2023

Michael "Mike" Denny
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother Michael at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, November 8th. Michael was born on January 16, 1973, at Northern Carleton Hospital in Bath.

He was the son of the late Leo J. Denny and Ruth (Cox) Denny. He was also predeceased by his grandfather Leo F. Denny. He spent much of his young life at the IWK in Halifax where he received exceptional care. He graduated from Carleton North High School in 1995.

Michael loved life. He fought every day with courage, bravery, and humour. Despite his health complications, Michael radiated positivity and was an inspiration to all who knew him. He kept his millions of fans on Facebook entertained with his posts about Big Brother, Survivor, and Pamela Anderson.

Michael was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. The time spent with his family was filled with teasing, joking, and laughter. He loved fishing, hunting, his pets, and the Montreal Canadiens. Michael liked to go for tours around Carleton County, but could always be heard before he was seen thanks to the pounding bass coming from his car as he blasted the best music: Metallica and AC/DC. He loved a good cup of King Cole while watching an entertaining game of women’s tennis.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the Upper River Valley hemodialysis unit, to his dear friend Charlotte at the Bath Lions Villa, to Roy and Andria, and to the countless people who helped Michael over the years. Donations can be sent to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or to DunRoamin' Stray and Rescue.

Michael was the centre of our family. We will deeply miss our Ultimate Dialysis Warrior and cherish his memory forever.

Mike is survived by his 6 siblings, Ricky (Karen), Pam, Donna, Carla, Gail, and Jeanette (Gerald) and family; nieces and nephews, PJ, Andrew, Liza, Payge, Shea, Taylor, Lauren, Avery, Jack, Todd, Kylie, Stephanie, Gavin, Garret, Chelsea, Lanie, Emma and Wednesday who all loved him very much.

A visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 1-3 pm. A family graveside service will follow in the Johnville Cemetery. For those who wish donations to the Kidney Foundation or DunRoamin would be appreciated.
