Etha L. Gaunce

It is with sadness that the family of Etha Lillian Gaunce formerly of Upper Kent announce her death which occurred on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Etha was born October 3, 1934 in Upper Kent, she was the daughter of the late William and Jewell (Salmon) Gaunce. She was also predeceased by her 7 siblings, Mary Bell (Harry), Harry Gaunce (Audrey), Charles Gaunce, Robert Gaunce, Frank Gaunce, Christopher Gaunce (Florence) and John (Jack) Gaunce and brother in law Ivan (Billy)Nixon .

Etha is survived by her 2 sisters, Elizabeth Chapman (Keith) and Dorothy Kinney (Howard); 3 sisters in law, Alice Gaunce, Nancy Gaunce and Letha Gaunce as well as many nieces, nephews and their families that love her very much.

Respecting Etha's wishes graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Wharton Cemetery. Rev. Dan Ryan will officiate. A reception will follow at the Beechwood Baptist Church. For those who wish donations made to the Wharton Cemetery or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. L.R.
