James A. Diamond
1948-2023
The death of James "Jimmie" Allen Diamond of Gordonsville
occurred on Monday, January 16, 2023 at the Upper River Valley
Hospital, Waterville. He was born June 12, 1948 in Woodstock and was
the son of the late George and Maude (Campbell) Diamond.
James is survived by his loving and patient wife of 48 years, Dianne (Nee McAdam); 5 children, David of Gordonsville, NB, Marylou Kruppke (Clayton) of Slave Lake, AB, Christopher Ruff of Slave Lake, AB, Lisa Dell ((James) of Toronto, ON and Angelia Canam (Glenn) of Florenceville-Bristol, NB; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Nancy Cullins (Peter) of Moncton; 1 nephew, Ryan Cullins of Fredericton as well as extended family.
James was one of a kind, if he had something to say, he said it, whether you wanted to hear it or not, he never minced words.
James loved horses, he worked in the woods when he was younger, he worked for McCain Foods and was a Sawyer for Juniper Lumber/Fraser Paper until he retired. He read every day, always had a book on the go. During the winter months he worked on puzzles and a word find every morning, to keep his mind "Sharp" he said. He was very interested in genealogy and could tell lots of stories on the history of different families.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 1 pm in the Gordonsville Community Cemetery. For those who wish, donations made to the IWK would be appreciated by the family.
The Diamond family wish to thank Ambulance NB, the Emergency Department, CCU Unit and 2 East at the Upper River Valley Hospital for the care they provided. Special thanks to Eric and Melody from the Extra Mural Program, for their exceptional care to James.
