Gerald S. Graham

It is with sadness that we announce the sudden death of Gerald Saunders Graham of Bloomfield which occurred on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Gerald was born December 12, 1937 in Carvell, and was the son of the late Sandy and Myrna (Smith) Graham. He was also predeceased by his first wife, Madeline (Darrah) Graham; 1 nephew, Sandy Graham, brother in law, Ed Berry and brother-in-law Jimmy Martin.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Janet (nee Martin); 2 children, Kathy Graham and Ivan Graham (Cindy); 3 granddaughters, Jennifer Weston, Megan Cullins (Curtis) and Laura Graham (Tommy Johnston); 2 great grandchildren, Ellie Cullins and Porter Johnston; 1 brother, Neil Graham; 2 sisters, Shirley Berry and Rose Lanto, mother-in-law Peggy Martin, step-son Ken Ritchie, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Gerald drove trucks his whole life, and never lost his love for trucking, whether it was pulp, gravel, fertilizer or potatoes. His love of his family and friends was always apparent, and he was never happier than when he had company for a visit and a cup of tea. The tasty treats often accompanied by his daughter and granddaughter on many of those visits were always greeted with a smile. He loved the Tractor Pulls, and was a fierce supporter of his son, and granddaughters. He loved his dogs, and they loved him back almost as much in return. Gerald will definitely be missed by all those who loved and knew him.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the Ambulance Attendants, Lakeville Volunteer Fire Department, as well as the nurses and doctors at the Upper River Valley Hospital.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 5-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 1 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Robert LeBlanc will officiate. The interment will follow at the Good Corner Cemetery. Donations made to the Good Corner Cemetery, NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, River Valley Cancer Support Group or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
