Audrey M. Oakes

The death of Audrey Mavis Oakes of Florenceville occurred on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born September 9, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Gertrude (Hathaway) Ruff. Audrey was also predeceased by her husband, Avon; 1 grandson, Kenny Oakes; 4 siblings, Myrtle Davenport, Ronald, Alton and Donald Ruff.

Audrey is survived by her 6 children, Barbara Oakes (Gordon), Donna Ruff (Donald), David Oakes (Carol), Deborah Perkins (Rick), Dana Oakes and Jamie Oakes (Nicole); 8 grandchildren, Mark, Benjie, Shannon, Patti, Sarah, Alicia, Melissa and Maria; 12 great grandchildren, Tyson, Dyllin, Shaye, Robert, Ashlie, Parker, John, Samantha, Emily, Ryland, Kailee and Shaela; 4 siblings, Marie McSheffrey, Evelyn Cammack (Lewis), Brenda Foster and Arthur Ruff (Betty); sister in law, Lewina Ruff as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 12-2 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Rev. Carl DeMerchant will officiate.
