Glendola DeMerchant

The family of Glendola DeMerchant wish to announce her passing on September 2, 2019 at the age of 100. She was born in Summerfield on December 23, 1918.

Glendola was the 7th of 8 children born to Allison and Marjorie Adelaide (Addie) Brown. The family is as follows; Stella Lawrence, Raymond Brown, Howard Brown, Cecil Brown, Ruby Piper, Wallace Brown, Glendola DeMerchant and Ina Piper. Ina is the only surviving member of the immediate family.

Glendola was married to Lewis who predecesed her in 1971.

Lewis and Glendola had two children, Paul (Linda) and Ruth who married Wesley Miller in July 1970. Ruth passed away by accident on January 1, 1971.
Glendola has 3 grandchildren; Brent (Rosslyn), Lyle (Jennifer) and Dwight (Sarah) and 2 who called her "Mammie De"; Jason and Scott Miller. She has 4 great grandchildren, Anna, Emma, Izabella and Alexander. Glendola had many nieces and nephews.

She lived a wonderful Christian life from a young age and has been a great example.

Resting at L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol with visitation on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 6-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday September 7, 2019 at 2:00 pm from the chapel. Rev. Mark Carter will officiate. The interment will be in the Bristol Community Cemetery.
