C. Gaynell Wortman

C. Gaynell Wortman passed away at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville on March 10, 2017. She was born in Maplehurst on December 16, 1915 to Reuben and Graca (Brown) Acton. She was predeceased by her husband, John W. Wortman, sister, Kathleen Oakes, brothers, Harold and Arthur, and a son-in-law, Huelett Williams.

Gaynell is survived by her daughters, Ruth Williams and Linda (Peter) Watson; grandchildren, Yvonne (Malcolm) Nye, Donna (Kirk) Thompson, Randy Watson, Ernest (Alice) Williams, Marianne Williams; great grandchildren, Rebekah, Thomas, Benjamin and Samuel Nye, Logan and Arleigh Watson, Isabell and Madalyn Williams, Maya and Peter Thompson.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at L. R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Road, Florenceville-Bristol, from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be on Monday at 2:00 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Wortman officiating. Interment will be in the Wharton cemetery at a later date.
