Hayden R. DeMerchant

The death of Hayden Ralph DeMerchant of Harvey and formerly of Maplehurst occurred on Friday, June 10, 2022 at his home. Born September 15, 1938 in Holmesville, he was the son of the late Wilmot Butterfield and Fern DeMerchant. He was also predeceased by brother in law, Gene Crouse.

Hayden is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Donna; 4 children, Reginald DeMerchant (Sherry), Blair DeMerchant (Jo Anne), Brent DeMerchant (Shelley) and Mistie Mavor (Jason); 7 grandchildren Kalib, Kasey, Josh, Brady, Summer, Haily and Christian; 4 great grandchildren, Fenwick, Breanna, Abby and Creeo; 1 brother in law, Lorne Hamilton.

A private visitation and funeral service will be held at L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Joseph Hopkins will officiate. The funeral service will be live streamed on the L.R. Giberson FaceBook page at 2:00 pm The interment will be in the Wharton Cemetery follow the service.
