George A. Davenport

1951-2020

George A. Davenport
It is with great sadness that the family of George Aubrey Davenport announces his passing on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at the age of 69 years. George will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Kathryn, son Chris (Sarah Lanteigne), daughter Nicole (Tony) Trafford, and grandson Jackson Trafford. George will also be remembered by his brothers Wallace (Irene), Donnie (Marilyn), and Carl (Brenda), his sisters Marilyn (Wayne) Savage and Helen Lovely, sister-in-law Sharon Simms and several nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his parents, Basil and Marie, two brothers, Ronnie and Eddie, bothers-in-law Rod Leroux and Dean Lovely, and his in-laws, Clarence and Helen Simms.

George is remembered for his passion for work and for family. He was an accomplished welder, skilled millwright by trade, and a masterful problem solver with a keen eye for the finer details. He always put his family first and was generous with any assistance or advice he could offer and will be dearly missed.

The family would like to thank Dr Bruce Lockhart for his care, advice, guidance and accessibility, Extra-Mural respiratory therapist, Eric Wylie for his invaluable care and advice and Dr Hossain and the CCU nurses for their care and compassion.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside burial will be held at St. James Anglican Church cemetery.

Donations in memory of George may be made to the St. James Anglican Cemetery fund or a charity of the donor’s choice.

As Jackson would say, “Grampster, we love you and we will miss you.”
