Maxine P. Parker
Maxine Patricia Parker of Stickney passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born March 16, 1933 in Peel, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mae (Gereau) Melville. She was also predeceased by 1 brother, Aldon and son-in-law, Cary Chase.

Maxine is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Fred; 4 children, Kent Parker, Wendy Chase, Michael Parker and Christa Paquet (Fred); 4 grandchildren, Nathan Chase (Michelle), Tiffany Chase, Frederic and Samuel Paquet; and, 4 great grandchildren, Kadence, Keleigh, Kamden and Claire.

Adventurous and full of life, Maxine was frequently on the go, whether it was driving Girl Guides to sell cookies or driving the girls on a shopping trip. She enjoyed dancing, jigsaw puzzles, playing bingo, and family camping trips to Island Falls, ME. Following a long, rewarding teaching career, her love of books and leadership skills led her to become involved with the Andrew & Laura McCain Library in Florenceville.

Visitation will be hosted by L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Monday, May 29, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Susan Estabrooks will officiate.
