James E. Pickard

The death of James Edward Pickard of Piercemont occurred on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at the River View Manor, Bath. Born May 1, 1922 in Piercemont, NB he was the son of the late John and Helen (Griffin) Pickard. He was also predeceased by his son, Paul Pickard; 5 siblings, Theodore "Ted", Gerald, Rita, Raymond and Junior.

James is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Joyce; 3 children, Elizabeth McCorquindale (Jeff), Jimmy Pickard (Carol) and Rosemary DeMerchant (Ray Freeman); 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Greg Pickard (Carmel) and Clarence Pickard (Theresa) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held from St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Johnville on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 11:00 -2:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 3:00 pm. Fr. Owen Burns as celebrant. Interment will be in the Johnville Cemetery at a later date. Donations made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church would be appreciated. L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors are entrusted with the arrangements.
